With a national teacher shortage, increasing rates of behavior among school-aged individuals, and difficulty maintaining trained staff, it’s not surprising that burnout is at an all-time high.

We’re here to help you train and retain staff, and to help support overburdened teachers.

How does behavioral therapy fit into the education system?

Behavioral therapy is an umbrella term that, in this case, refers to a therapeutic approach using evidence-based techniques to address unwanted behaviors or increase functional skills. This type of behavioral therapy is also called Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

We work with children as young as 2 years old and adults of any age, and can address skills such as self-care tasks (toileting, hand-washing, eating, etc.), social interactions with peers, communication (verbal and non-verbal), behavior reduction, and more.

Our behavior therapists have worked with individuals of varied diagnoses, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and Down Syndrome. Additionally, we create interventions that are feasible for teachers to implement and that work alongside MTSS, PBIS, and other school-based systems.

Do you have a student with behaviors that are disrupting his or her ability to learn, or behaviors that frighten other students and teachers?

Instances of extreme, challenging behaviors are increasing in classrooms across America. Teachers and administrative teams are already working overtime to meet the ever-growing needs of today’s youth, which is where we step in.

School-Based Services

Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Planning

A Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is an ongoing process of collecting information with a goal of identifying the environmental variables that control a problem or target behavior. An FBA may be deemed necessary when a student is exhibiting complex maladaptive behaviors that do not respond to typical interventions or when a student with diverse needs joins a school that has not previously served neurodiverse individuals. This service begins at $75/hr.
